NTU Sustainability Report FY17

We are proud to present NTU’s 2017 Sustainability Report, our third report describing the university’s progress in our sustainable journey. In FY17, NTU reduced its energy and greenhouse gas emissions intensity by 26% and 37% respectively. We have invested heavily in green technologies such as solar energy, and aim to double the amount of solar energy harvested from 3-5% to 7-9% contribution in next two years. Our water intensity (per square metre) and waste intensity (per capita) have also reduced by 17% and 15% compared to 2011.

​Green Hall Initiative

Green Hall Initiative is an eco-friendly competition carried out by Earthlink and the Energy
Research Institute @ NTU (ERI@N), with the aim to spread energy conservation awareness to all residents on the four blocks of Hall 11. The block that most reduces its electricity consumption during the period of 1st February to 31 March 2017 results the winner of the competition.
